Our mission is to make the art of building accessible, relaxing, and endlessly inspiring, whether you’re a tabletop gamer, a hobbyist, or simply someone who loves making things with their own hands.
Our Story
It all started in 2017, when Zoeya Sinha, an engineer with a love for problem-solving and design, and Sunil Dev Prasanna, an architect with a lifelong passion for miniatures, began collaborating.
From their first conversation, one idea kept surfacing: model kits should be just as fun to build as they are to admire.
They began experimenting with designs that could snap together effortlessly yet remain sturdy and highly detailed. After years of prototypes, they were ready to share their vision with the world.

2020 — First Kickstarter campaign, Super Modular Architectural Model Kits & Gaming Terrain.

2021 — Launch of our own website and Amazon USA store, bringing I Built It to a global audience.

2025 — Launch of TreadHeads: DIY Mechanical Models, build-it-yourself mechanical kits for kids and adults alike.
From a small home workshop to thousands of kits shipped worldwide, our journey has been powered by curiosity, creativity, and the joy of making.
Our products are made with MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) — an engineered wood product crafted using recycled wood fibers. Rather than relying on freshly cut timber, MDF production repurposes the by-products of the wood industry, such as chips, sawdust, and bark.
What goes into our MDF:
